Taking a Poll

So I just colored my hair and went back to a color closer to my natural color and now I can't decide what I like better. So I am asking for your help. Which do you like better blonde or brown?

I Love Conference Weekend!

Every conference weekend, my family has the tradition of going to our cabin up in Heber. It so fun to get away into the mountains and just hang out with the fam. We all met up Friday night to watch the BYU game and have a BYU/Indiana Jones birthday party for Dawson. Saturday was a ton of fun and included a very successful girls night out at the Outlet Mall in Park City and of course a huge dinner! That is one thing we don't go without at the cabin....a TON of food. I think we all gain at least 10 lbs. while we are there. Anyone who has ever come up to join us knows what I am talking about (speaking of coming up...Devin where was you? where was you at?).

Then on Sunday morning my grandparents and some of my cousins came over for a huge breakfast. When I say huge I mean... french toast, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, breakfast casserole, breakfast taquitos, cereal, and fresh fruit. We Zarbock's don't mess around.

It is always so great to be with our family and hear the words of our Prophet and other Church leaders. We always leave with such a spiritual high and can't wait until April rolls around.

Here is just a sample of the amazing food.

I was in charge of making dinner on Saturday night and if I do say so myself it was fabulous!!

It was so fun to play with Boston all weekend. Notice the faux-hawk hairdo...compliments of Aunt Katie.

When Grandpa Bob came for breakfast on Sunday morning we had to take his picture with his miniature look-a-like Brody. The resemblance is uncanny!

We had such a blast thanks Mom and Dad for such a great weekend!!!

(oh and General Conference was good too!)

Seriously What is Wrong With People?

So don't get me wrong I love my job. Becoming a Pharmacist was probably the smartest decision I have ever made, but sometimes the people I have to deal with drive me crazy!! Like the lady who wanted me to "lick her capsules!" I am sorry if the capsules that we specially made for her had a little powder residue on them, but no I will not lick them. Or the man we had arrested for forging prescriptions who came back later that month to fill his medications. He asked if it would be ok to fill his prescription even though last time he was arrested. Who comes back to the same pharmacy? Bless his heart!! And then there is D.P. who felt it necessary to wait patiently for a good 10 minutes until I finished my phone call so he could tell me I needed to cut my bangs. Really did he just tell me that? I was kind of stunned that I didn't even know how to respond to that.

But I think those that drive me the most insane are all the punks trying to fill prescriptions for narcotics. You know you have been working with the public too long when you can name what medications someone is bringing in to fill before they even hand you their prescription. "Let me guess...Oxycontin, oxycodone, xanax, and soma(s)?" And it is always the same excuse, "I am going on vacation and need it early. My meds got stolen," and my favorite from today, "All of my meds got destroyed." Really do they think we are stupid? Why is it that no one's blood pressure or diabetes medication got destroyed or lost? What are the odds? Just so you know, we know you are selling it. But I think the thing that bothers me the most is all the doctors who are writing these prescriptions like there's no tomorrow. No wonder Utah has the highest incidence of death from drug overdose.

It gets so frustrating dealing with all this craziness, that some days I feel more like a babysitter than a pharmacist. All I can say is thank goodness it pays well!
