Nutcracker 5k

A couple of years ago I found the funnest 5k race you will ever run...The Nutcracker 5k...Why is this run so fun? You get to were a tutu, yes even the boys! How fun is that? The first year I ran the race I borrowed my tutu, but this year I decided to make my own. Yeah baby, it was huge and awesome. Just so you can compare here is last years tutu-

And the tutu I made-

So who wants to run it next year? We can have a tutu making party at my house!!

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year has been a great year and I have soooo much to be grateful for. We had a great Thanksgiving at my parents house and it was of course fabulous. My mom did an amazing job with the food (as always), I don't know how she does it. Of course there is the annual family flag football game (which I love so much, not really I dread it every year) but it was fun. It did get a little heated this year (work dad came out which we don't see very often) but turned out well, I think my team won! Here are some pics from the big game.

The big line up.

I never realized how "handsy" flag football could get. Good times!
My 80+ year-old grandpa plays!! He usually just cheats. He did take a good hit this year and scared me to death though.
I think we had more fun posing for the camera.
Carson was a natural!

We even deep fried the turkey this year. So good!!

Blog Catch Up

So I think I am the worst blogger of all time. Oh well I never said I would be good at this. Since it's been over a month I thought I would just do a quick run down of the goings on in my life.

First my cute nephew Carson turned 3 years old and all he wanted to do was see High School Musical 3. So you better believe we were there opening day. Can I just say that I love Zac Effron!! I want to marry him so he can sing and dance for me all day long.

Then I had the opportunity to do some sealings with my family the other day at the Timpanogos temple. What a wonderful experience to be there with my Dad, brother and sisters. (I told my brother as I knelt across the altar from him that this might be the closet thing I get to marriage! Thanks Mike for the good times).

It was kind of cool last month we were able to bless my nephew Brody at my parents house. So fun to have all the friends and family over. We had such good food, I think I made almost 50 bundt cakes.

Of course there was Halloween. I love that my family gets so into dressing up for Halloween. This year we decided to go as characters from Star Wars. My nephews have been obsessed with the movies so they were way excited. My favorite was my mom, she actually bought real cinnamon rolls to put in her hair for Princess Leia, love it. We always go to my aunts house for a big party. All of my cousisn, aunts and uncles, end even my grandparents get all dressed up and of course there are donuts on a string (it doesn't get much better than that!)

And finally I just got back from an amazing trip to Vienna and Prague. My sister Molly and I and my parents got the opportunity to spend 4 days in Vienna and 4 days in Prague. We had a blast. We were able to see beautiful castles, churches, bridges, amazing country side, go to a Mozart concert, stay in really nice hotels, learn the history of these cities, ride the subways, eat amazing food (the brats are wonderful), and of course shop!! There is just something about the clothes in Europe that just can't resist, I bought 3 coats, some sweaters, scarves, and shirts. I would be broke if I lived there.

So there is the readers digest version of the past month. Now I am getting excited for Christmas. I have already spent a small fortune on decorations getting ready for the annual Zarbock Christmas Open house. Hope to see you there!

Taking a Poll

So I just colored my hair and went back to a color closer to my natural color and now I can't decide what I like better. So I am asking for your help. Which do you like better blonde or brown?

I Love Conference Weekend!

Every conference weekend, my family has the tradition of going to our cabin up in Heber. It so fun to get away into the mountains and just hang out with the fam. We all met up Friday night to watch the BYU game and have a BYU/Indiana Jones birthday party for Dawson. Saturday was a ton of fun and included a very successful girls night out at the Outlet Mall in Park City and of course a huge dinner! That is one thing we don't go without at the cabin....a TON of food. I think we all gain at least 10 lbs. while we are there. Anyone who has ever come up to join us knows what I am talking about (speaking of coming up...Devin where was you? where was you at?).

Then on Sunday morning my grandparents and some of my cousins came over for a huge breakfast. When I say huge I mean... french toast, hashbrowns, bacon, sausage, cinnamon rolls, breakfast casserole, breakfast taquitos, cereal, and fresh fruit. We Zarbock's don't mess around.

It is always so great to be with our family and hear the words of our Prophet and other Church leaders. We always leave with such a spiritual high and can't wait until April rolls around.

Here is just a sample of the amazing food.

I was in charge of making dinner on Saturday night and if I do say so myself it was fabulous!!

It was so fun to play with Boston all weekend. Notice the faux-hawk hairdo...compliments of Aunt Katie.

When Grandpa Bob came for breakfast on Sunday morning we had to take his picture with his miniature look-a-like Brody. The resemblance is uncanny!

We had such a blast thanks Mom and Dad for such a great weekend!!!

(oh and General Conference was good too!)

Seriously What is Wrong With People?

So don't get me wrong I love my job. Becoming a Pharmacist was probably the smartest decision I have ever made, but sometimes the people I have to deal with drive me crazy!! Like the lady who wanted me to "lick her capsules!" I am sorry if the capsules that we specially made for her had a little powder residue on them, but no I will not lick them. Or the man we had arrested for forging prescriptions who came back later that month to fill his medications. He asked if it would be ok to fill his prescription even though last time he was arrested. Who comes back to the same pharmacy? Bless his heart!! And then there is D.P. who felt it necessary to wait patiently for a good 10 minutes until I finished my phone call so he could tell me I needed to cut my bangs. Really did he just tell me that? I was kind of stunned that I didn't even know how to respond to that.

But I think those that drive me the most insane are all the punks trying to fill prescriptions for narcotics. You know you have been working with the public too long when you can name what medications someone is bringing in to fill before they even hand you their prescription. "Let me guess...Oxycontin, oxycodone, xanax, and soma(s)?" And it is always the same excuse, "I am going on vacation and need it early. My meds got stolen," and my favorite from today, "All of my meds got destroyed." Really do they think we are stupid? Why is it that no one's blood pressure or diabetes medication got destroyed or lost? What are the odds? Just so you know, we know you are selling it. But I think the thing that bothers me the most is all the doctors who are writing these prescriptions like there's no tomorrow. No wonder Utah has the highest incidence of death from drug overdose.

It gets so frustrating dealing with all this craziness, that some days I feel more like a babysitter than a pharmacist. All I can say is thank goodness it pays well!

Kelly Ripa Arms

I don't know if you have noticed, but Kelly Ripa is ripped! She is one of my most favorite people and I want her arms. She has inspired me to get back into shape. Since running the Ogden marathon last May I have kind of let myself go and every time I watch Live with Regis and Kelly I feel like I should be doing push ups or something. So in my quest to get "Kelly Ripa arms" I have decided to create a home gym. Hopefully with the help of P90x, the treadmill and Bowflex machine I just purchased I will be on my way to getting back into shape. Wish me luck, I am off to Bowflex it right now!

Painting my House

Ever since I bought my house I have wanted to paint stripes in my office. This was kind of a big project so I have been kind of putting it off. But over these past few weeks I finally got the nerve to start this project. I had no clue what I was doing but I headed off to Lowes (my new favorite store) and bought paint supplies and paint. I am proud to say that it turned out great (as long as you don't look too closely)!! I am way excited to try other projects in my house now!

Before

During
(it took forever to tape off all the stripes)

After

The picture makes it look like the stripes are different colors, but it was just the flash of the camera. It is actually the same color but one stripe is just glossy and kind of "pearly." Kind of fun!

Go Cougars!!

I love, love, love, going to BYU football games. I remember being a little girl and looking forward to going to the games with my family. We would always sit on the back row of Cougar Stadium (with all of the bus drivers) and my favorite thing was to get a hot dog. For some reason they always tasted to so much better at BYU football games (I am not sure why that is). This last game was no exception.

Boston can't believe BYU shut-out UCLA

We had so much fun! BYU played awesome and I can't wait for the next game.

Thanks Dad for the tickets!

New nephew

This week another gorgeous baby Zarbock was born.
Brody Michael Zarbock

Isn't he the cutest!

So that makes nephew number 6, wow I can't believe it. But how much fun are they! Each one has such a unique personality and brings so much to our family. I love them to death!!

Dallin

The oldest is Dallin and he is awesome. Dallin just turned 8 and was baptised last month. He is probably the kindest and sweetest boy you will ever meet (and I am not just saying that because he is my nephew, he really is).

Braxton

Have you seen a cuter face? Braxton is so funny. He probably makes me laugh the very most. He has such a tender heart and is so passionate about life. He is going to be heartbreaker I can tell.

Dawson

Dawson (aka Indiana Jones) is almost 3 years old and is obsessed with Indiana Jones. If you come over you might find him running around the house humming the theme song from Indiana Jones at the top of his lungs wearing a cowboy hat a backpack and carrying a sword. He is so darling.

Let me just say, "Zak and Tiff you make beautiful kids!"

Carson

Carson is my twin sister Betsy's oldest and he has quite the imagination. He loves, loves, loves High School Musical and we are going to see HSM 3 for his 3rd birthday. Carson likes to be Troy or Ryan, depending on which song we are singing, and I get to be Sharpay. Boy do we ever "Bop to the Top!!!" Carson has so much energy and cracks me up!

Boston

And finally there is Boston. He is the cutest baby!!!! He is almost 5 months old now and is the happiest baby ever. I love to hold him and now that I live so close to my Sister I get to see him all the time. How lucky am I?

Such a darling family. I can't wait for them to have more kids (although maybe a girl next time guys).

Funny Story...

So last Sunday my Bishop was teaching the combined RS/EQ lesson about the scouting program (weird topic for a singles ward I know). But he told a story about a young man, David Zacharias, that he got to know while serving as a scout leader in his ward. This boy as he put it "had a gift for aggravating people." David was notorious for getting into trouble. For example the day they went to do baptisms for the dead David decided to do a cannon ball into the font. Can you imagine? The waves sloshing over the edge of the font, and the poor witnesses getting soaked. Who does that? I laughed so hard. I feel a little bad saying this but I wish I could have been there to see that.

Get excited!!

Dancing with the Stars is back! Only 21 days and counting until the season premiere. I am so excited for the new season of DWTS. They just announced the new line up and I can't wait!
I always like to make a prediction of who is going to make into the finals and so far I have been pretty accurate; but this year it is not so obvious to me. It's still a little early but here it is...
I am feeling like Lance Bass, Cody Livley, and Toni Braxton final with Lance winning the glass ball trophy. You heard it here first people.

Lance don't let me down!!
